The last post of the year already! Let's take a look at my year in books!

I've finished 86 books this year (and DNFd a bunch). At the beginning of 2021 I decided that whenever I wouldn't like a book enough, I would stop and start another one (best decision ever).
First book = Best book
I started the year with Aristotle and Dante (okay, fair enough, THIS was the best decision ever), so it was all downhill from thereš No, but seriously, it took me nearly a month to like another book again, because nothing compared to this beauty, but I finally got into reading again with Fever Pitch. I'll tell you all about it in a moment, but first my review of Ari & Dante.

(Yes, I reread it later this year. OF COURSE, I did.)
Same author, different book Ha! I just checked and apparently it wasn't the Love Lessons series that got me into reading again after Ari & Dante, but Carry the Ocean (The Roosevelt series). Same author, different book.
It's an amazing series which you should definitely check out, but I already spammed about it a lot in my previous blog posts, so maybe I should just...you know, move on. š (BUT SERIOUSLY, GO AND READ THEM. NOW.)
MUST READS (My top 15 of this year):
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe - Benjamin Alire SƔenz New Adult; Contemporary; Romance; LGBT
Fever Pitch - Heidi Cullinan (Love Lessons #2) New Adult; Contemporary; Romance; LGBT; Music (is this even a genre?)
Aristotle and Dante Dive into the Waters of the World - Benjamin Alire SƔenz (Even though this book is so good, and probably even better than the first, both Ari & Dante 1 and Fever Pitch make me so happy that I can't love this one over them) New Adult; Contemporary; Romance; LGBT
Last Night I Sang to the Monster - Benjamin Alire SƔenz Young Adult; Mental Health; Contemporary; LGBT
Carry the Ocean (The Roosevelt #1) - Heidi Cullinan New Adult; Mental Health; Disability; Contemporary; Romance; LGBT
The Dangerous Art of Blending In - Angelo Surmelis Young Adult; Mental Health; Contemporary; Romance; LGBT
Shelter the Sea (The Roosevelt #2) - Heidi Cullinan New Adult; Mental Health; Disability; Contemporary; Romance; LGBT
The Five Stages of Andrew Brawley - Shaun David Hutchinson Young Adult; Mental Health; Contemporary; Romance; LGBT
The Entrant - Rock Forsberg Young Adult; Science Fiction; Sports Fiction
Boyfriend Material - Alexis Hall (It's maybe not even the best book ever, but it was so funny and for some weird reason I felt this huge connection to the protagonist, even though we're not really that much alike). Adult; Contemporary; Romance; LGBT
A Curse so Dark and Lonely - Brigid Kemmerer Young Adult; Fantasy; Romance
Love Me Whole - Nicky James Adult; Mental Health; Disability; Contemporary; Romance; LGBT
What If It's Us - Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera (I have a love-hate relationship with this book, because URGH.) Young Adult; Contemporary; Romance; LGBT
Christmas Mountain - Garrett Leigh Adult; Contemporary; Romance; Holiday (Christmas); LGBT
A Street Cat Named Bob - James Bowen Adult; Nonfiction; Biography
So, yeah, I don't even know what to say. I think it's obvious I really enjoyed LGBT contemporaries, but weirdly enough I didn't read that many historical fiction and science fiction, even though those are my other favourite genresš¤ Well, there's always 2022, I guess.
I wish you a very merry new year (only one person reading this gets the joke, but whatever) and I hope to 'see' you again in 2022!
