Hi everyone!

I’m pretty sure you’ve noticed June was #pridemonth, and my goal was to read lots of LGBTQIA+ books (since, you know, I usually never ever read those lololol).

I started out really well by reading What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera. This is one of those books I love to hate and hate to love, because it was soooo good, but I also can’t stand how it ended. THANKFULLY there is going to be a sequel (can it be December already?!) so pleeeaaase let it have a happy ending or I’ll go crazy (crazier).

My next read was Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, also by Becky Albertalli, and hello Creekwood and Simonverse. I was super excited that I guessed who was Blue, and of course I had to watch Love, Simon afterwards (I can’t believe I had never watched it before, but someone on Instagram told me about it after I posted about the book and I am forever grateful because I LOVED it).

Then there was my reread of Aristotle and Dante. I LOVED IT SO MUCH. It was even better than the first time. Okay, it wasn’t, because it was already so good the first time that it’s literally impossible to ever be better, but you get my point. It was extra fun since it was a buddyread and we are definitely going to reread it again in September/October, because the sequel is coming out in October!!! I REPEAT: THE ARI & DANTE SEQUEL IS COMING OUT IN OCTOBER (can it be October already?).

After Ari & Dante I read Dance With Me by Heidi Cullinan and even though it was great, it wasn’t as good as their other books (FEVER PITCH), but I still recommend it!

I also read Meet Cute Diary by Emery Lee, but it wasn’t my thing to be honest. I didn’t like the main character that much and I don’t know, it just wasn’t for me.

Lastly, I read Solitaire by Alice Oseman, and I don’t know if you’ve ever read her graphic novels (Nick & Charlie!!!) but they are supercute and I love them, so I was very excited to read this book. It’s about Charlie’s sister, Tori, and it’s…I don’t know…just read it, it’s really good. Just do it.

After that I finished two other books, but they weren’t LGBTQIA+ and honestly not worth mentioning anyway, so I won’t bother.

And then… IT HAPPENED. So, June 18th I finished my last book, and I started watching Love, Victor (the TV series) and well…I haven’t been able to read anything ever since. It's like...I can't even describe it, but this show has done something to me and I don't know when it's going to get better. Probably next year when S3 comes out. Or maybe that will only make things worse. [SPOILER ALERT!] I NEED TO KNOW WHO'S BEHIND THE D*MN DOOR. PLEASE TELL ME NOW. HELP. (also, can it be June (?) 2022 already?)

Anyway, I think I can just delete this blog, because my reading days are over *drama*.

Okay, I’m pretty sure that at some point I’ll be able to read again (ARI & DANTE #2), but right now it’s kind of impossible.

So…hopefully I’ll be able to read again in July and read the 4295729483093 LGBTQIA+ books that are still on my list. After all, they're not just for one month only, am I right?

With that I end my post for this month. I hope it made any sense, because my ability to concentrate is -100000 (many thanks to venji). Just remember this: 1. Read Ari & Dante and What If It's Us, and 2. Watch Love, Simon & Love, Victor. Okay. That's it. That's all you really need to know.

I wish you all the best!

Be kind & do good.

Love, Annabel

(This is way cooler after watching Love, Simon/Love, Victor)
