I’ve been thinking a lot about how to continue my blog, because one fairly long post a month clearly didn’t work out very well for me. I always liked to write them, but it cost me a lot of time and energy, and eventually it didn’t seem worth it. I do, however, want to continue my blog, so let’s change things up a bit.

From now on, I’m just going to write a bit whenever I feel like it, and hopefully you’ll enjoy it enough to keep reading, even without any structure (ha, as if there ever was any structure to begin with).

I’m not sure what my posts will look like, but I’ll just start writing and we’ll see what happens.

Enjoy 😊

26/11/2021 (now it feels like a diary hihi)

WIPs: 1. Ailene (Ailene #1): second draft/editing process 2. Purpose [working title] (Ailene #0.5): first draft This week I’ve been editing some chapters of my first book, and as of today I’m halfway with my second draft. I always hear a lot of complaints from people about not liking the editing process, but to be honest, I love it. Sometimes I think I’m happiest when I get to spend time ‘in’ my book’s world, and every time I work on my book, either by writing or editing…I don’t know…I just get really, really happy. So how could I possibly not enjoy the editing process?

Current reads: 1. Ahsoka by E.K. Johnston

2. Everything Is F*cked: A Book About Hope by Mark Manson I’ve also been reading a couple of books, and they were fun and/or moderately interesting, but not great, so I’m not going to talk about them here. If you’d like, you can check out my Bookstagram or Goodreads page for reviews of the books I've read since my last post. There were some really good ones!

Well, maybe this was already enough for today. I might post updates like this more frequently (or not), with thoughts on my writing/editing process and the books I’m currently reading. Yes, maybe that’s what I’ll do 😊

Who needs structure anyway? Let chaos reign! 😂

In all seriousness, though, I loved reading a new post from you again. It's always nice to get a small glimpse into your mind 😊

I'm glad to hear spending time in your own created world brings you so much joy, and to be honest, I don't hate the editing process either. It's actually kind of satisfying to make small changes and then be able to say: "Yeah... this is better."

But that's enough babbling out of me.

Keep up the good work, and stay awesome 😎

Much love, Jarell
