AILENE’s most important theme: family.

Hi there again, dear friend,
Last time I told you I was going to write the blog posts leading up to the release of AILENE (which will be somewhere in May 2023!). After that, my friend will take over and tell you all about its prequel, Purpose. I’ve been thinking a lot about what I can share with you without spoiling too much.
I think the most important theme of AILENE is family, so I have decided to use this post to tell you about mine.
I grew up in the desert country, the Wastelands, where I lived for nineteen years with my parents, Siena and Nathan Navarro. I love them more than life itself, so I hate to admit it, but being raised by them was hard. They were often away, so I was alone most of the time. And very, very lonely.
Thankfully, I had my neighbour and best friend to worry about. Lowell is, without a doubt, my oldest and truest friend–my brother in every way that counts. He is sitting next to me as we speak, and making fun of me because I’m being emotional again. My other friend and family member, Suri, is sitting on my lap. She is a womkey, but I believe you, as an earthling, would refer to her kind as a ‘meerkat’. Animals in your world are a bit different from ours. Here, they are very conscious and just as intelligent as humans (though that, of course, is relative. Suri is probably smarter than Lowell and me together ;))
There are a few more people I would love to add, especially one girl in particular, but I’m afraid it would give away too much. I just hope they know how much I care about them.
Who I do need to mention is someone who brightens my every day. I can’t tell you his name yet, because that would be too much of a spoiler, but I’ll refer to him as ‘my boyfriend’. It’s not exactly the right description, but it’ll have to do (I may or may not be smiling from ear to ear right now just by thinking about him).
That was my brief introduction to my family. I would love to hear all about yours, so feel free to leave a comment and/or message me. Questions are always welcome too. I promise I will respond as soon as possible!
Thank you for your time and have a nice month! <3
Warmest wishes,
Hayden Navarro

Hi Hayden!
It's nice to hear from you again and learn a little bit more about your life :) My family is very special to me too; I can count on my parents no matter what, even though it's not always easy for them, and my dog never fails to make me smile at least once a day. I'm also blessed to have three amazing young women in my life who are like big sisters to me and a whole bunch of other friends ^^
Until next time (and say hello to our mutual friend)!
Best wishes,
Jarell
